Carina Sightings: Boro turboed Carina whistling away

This video of a boro Carina AA63 at Nikko Circuit by ae86lan kind of shocked me! It wasn’t the state of the car that shocked me, but the gigantic turbo conversion that amazed me!

The bigport 4A-GE with TVIS has been converted with a custom turbo manifold. The exhaust feed probably did not fit anymore and the exhaust was rerouted to the roof of the car. Also note the blowoff-valve with a whistle ducktaped to it! Damn, now that’s boro!

DOTS: 1993 Mitsubishi Mirage

For the non-European readers this Mitsubishi Mirage (aka Colt and Cyborg) Coupe ‘CC’ may not be that special, but for us Europeans it is quite an unfamiliar car.

The two door coupe was basically a model between the 3 door hatch and the four door sedan, but never made it to the European shores. This blue 1993 Mirage has been on the Continental shores since 1994, so it only spent one year on the other side of the ocean.

For us it is a bit weird to see a bootlid instead of hatchback between these two rear lights!

But apart from that it looks pretty much the same as an ordinary Colt ‘CC’.

Japanese rustoseums (part twentynine)

Imagine getting a tip to collect two unused 80s Nissan Skylines and when arriving at the spot you find this to be parked between the bushes:

An 90s drag race monster based upon a Skyline DR30!

The hood is a lightweight FRP bonnet by Rebic, headlights have been replaced for dummy items and the front wheels are a set of lightweight Wats.

At the rear two big ass wheels plus tires, a wide (center) exhaust that would make my drainpipe die of envy. ;)

And what about the other Skyline?

Oh, nothing special: just a widebody Ironmask… w(°0°)w
