I was thrilled to finally find a photo of a Toyota Carina station wagon TA60. It’s the exact same model and trim level as my dad’s Carina back in the 1980s! The biggest difference is the colour: this one is bright red instead of my father’s topaz-bronze Carina.

Compare that to this red Carina station wagon from the German brochure:

And then my eyes noticed something was off at the front and I recognized the FOHA front spoiler being mounted! I have the exact same front spoiler for my Carina and I’m quite pleased with the looks of it on this Carina wagon! I only wonder whether I should have it painted in the same body colour as my Carina or keep it in this dark grey/blackish colour.
There’s another difference I noticed: the headlights have headlamp washers! That means this must be either an Austrian, German, Swedish or Finnish car. When I look at the license plate I think it’s a Swedish car.
It would look much better if those 2000s hubcaps were removed and either the original centre caps would be fitted, or a nice set of Toyota 14 inch pizza cutter wheels would be mounted!
