Auctions Yahoo: Carina GT-R AA63 tail lights

Today my RSS feed reader provided me two new lots on Auctions Yahoo and in this case it were two kouki (late type) tail lights for the Carina sedan sold for left and right seperately:

The red line under the tail light was only available on the GT, GT-R, GT-T and GT-TR Carina models.

The auctions start at 5800 yen (roughly 58 euros or 74 US dollar) which a fair price for these tail lights in an (almost) immaculate condition! It is easy to get these items through man-in-the-middle companies like Hayatonka.
(do take into account local transportation costs, handling fees and shipping to your doorstep may increase the price dramatically!)

The auctions can be found here:

Christmas: Tomica Limited 1/64 scale Carina GT-R

A few days I go I already posted about winning the tail lights and the very same day I received a package from Japan (from a different AY source) containing a set of Soarer Z10 centercaps, Carina mudflaps, Carina brochure and this little yellow 1/64 scale Toyota Carina GT-R:

I got it for a bargain price and did not expect much from it until I read this posting last week and was very impressed by it.

I compared it against the Hotwheels Skyline KPGC110 GT-R I bought some last week and I was shocked by the difference in quality! See also this picture: Continue reading

Carina Sightings: Tomica Limited Vintage

A few weeks ago I bought this Toyota Carina GT-R AA63 on impulse and yesterday it finally got shipped (actually they forced shipment because it was too long in the warehouse) so I searched for it on Minkara. To my surprise I found there actually were two versions of them:

A white and a yellow Carina? I only got the yellow Carina, so now I need to find a white one as well! :(

A better shot of that lovely pair: Continue reading
