Wrecked: red panda Sprinter Trueno GT Apex

On January second 1997 this almost mint red panda Sprinter Trueno GT Apex AE86 died:
Wrecked: red panda Sprinter Trueno GT Apex AE86
This zenki Trueno was built in July 1984 and featured Bilstein shocks, TRD lowering springs, TRD LSD and a Tanabe limited exhaust. The wheels are a bit difficult to identify since they are not listed, but looking at the design it could come close to a set of black Advan A3As.

Brilliant: Swap a Honda F20 into a Celica XX

I think many purists will think this is blasphemy but I think it was a genius who thought of swapping the Honda F20 engine (presumably F20C) into a Celica XX GA61:

Why? Well the F20 is more powerful and has nearly the same torque as the 1G-(G)EU engine but a lot less in weight (almost equal to the 1G-GEU including its gearbox!). Now where can I get one of these babies swapped into my Carina? :P

Down on the Street: Datsun 260Z midget

The Datsun 260Z a midget? There must be some mistake, right?
Nope, totally wrong!
Datsun 260Z in Santa Clara
I shot this photo inside a parking garage in Santa Clara because it looked odd. Compared to the Jeep Cherokee XJ and Toyota Corolla E150 parked next to it the Datsun 260Z certainly looks like a midget!

Wait a minute? Is that seriously a Corolla?
Yes it is the USDM Corolla E150 and it surely grew almost as large as the kujira Toyota Crown S60 in the past 38 years. Both the 260Z and S60 came from the same era and a the world has changed since. If the Corolla could speak it would certainly say to the 260Z who is the underdog now? ;)
