I did post a couple of Toyota Carina A60 timelines in the past but now I found a nice tool to visualize this even better:
The data is based upon the Carina Chronology I posted in the past and added some titles and photos.
I tried to make it a bit funny by adding some rustoseum photos of the Carina models that got discontinued. ;)

What car would be rarer to drive in the Netherlands than a JDM Nissan Skyline GT-R R32?
A JDM Subaru Legacy B4!
The Subaru Legacy B4 is actually a very special type within the Legacy series, just like the WRX is for the Impreza series. There is so much improved on the car and so much that is non-standard!
It just doesn’t stop with the hoodscoop (that is missing on this car) popping out of that aluminium bonnet alone: Continue reading
I knew there have been various sizes of these Celica Supra rims: 15 inch 6J (mine/Supra/Soarer/Carina), 14 inch 7J (the most wanted), 14 inch 5.5J, but apparently there was also a 13 inch (5J?) rim made:

Yesterday I posted a cutaway picture of a Suzuki Fronte Coupe LC10W and today I have an even more impressive cutaway car: a Nissan Bluebird SSS 910!

Well, actually it isn’t drawn… It has been scavenged for panels, then standing outside too long and the whole body structure collapsed some time ago. So in other words: just like a cutaway picture you can see its inner bowels very well! ;)
Sorry for the very very low res photos but the source did not feature anything better…
This proves the provenance of the shell: Continue reading
The Suzuki Fronte Coupe LC10W (predecessor of the Suzuki Cervo) is a beautifully designed car by Giugiaro and it gets even better in this cutaway picture from the original 1972 brochure:

Imagine the work and effort taken to draw this picture: back in 1972 there was no Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator. And even today with Photoshop it would be a gigantic effort to draw anything like this!

At the Tokyo Auto Salon this year the Nihon Automobile College (NATS) made a couple of cars based upon another car. This Prius has been modified into a Celica Super Silhouette racer:

Just imagine this Prius Super Silhouette going down the Fuji International Speedway in the Group 5 competition with a whopping 180 km/h with flames spitting out of th exhaust pipes right under the front doors! :D
The front mimics a Celica Super Silhouette racer and at the rear it shows some more Toyota Celica RA25 inspiration with the banana tail lights: Continue reading
