Haven’t found any footage of this series on Youtube so far, but the intro of this tokusatsu surely looks promising: the Toyopet Crown S40 estate featuring in the first long shot gets blown to smithereens after only 30 seconds!
The show ran for ten whole years onward after its inital release in September 1969. Now these guys are supposed to be the good guys and they are just blowing up stuff the whole time? Oh man, you got to love the 70s for that!

After my impulse buy I started to look for real yellow Carina GT-Rs. I did see them in the brochures, but as far as I can remember never saw any photos of them IRL.
I ended up finding this magnificent example in a family album treasure style photograph:

According to the auction this Tomica Limited Vintage TLV-N59a is a yellow Carina 1600 GT-R scale model from the retro series released by Tomica back in 1999. The picture provided with the auction is not resembling the actual product, so I’m really curious what I’ll end up with.
