Car chases: J-tin lovers eat your heart out!

Another J-tin destruction mix video by 44magnumM29 and this time most definitely not for the fain hearted: in the first half minute a blue hakosuka Skyline is bumpercar-ed into scrap metal. Don’t worry: it is only a short nosed four door GC10. ;)

Also watch out for several Toyota Centuries and kujira Crowns to be blown up!

And a bonus question: can anyone guess the car featured from 1:04 till 1:40?

BTW: the drama series is not named (44magnumM29 is afraid it gets removed) and stunt work is performed by stuntman Mike and his team.

Wangan Warrors meeting 10: first impression

First impressions are always worth most since they describe the Wangan Warriors meeting in one sentence. In this case I’d say my first impression would be that the meeting was mystifying! And yes, that is also a pun to the weather. ;)

No really it was definitely worth going! Spoke to a lot of people and seen a lot of nice cars!
Stay tuned for several features in the upcoming days.

DOTS: Real Mistubishi Lancer Evolution!

Mitsubishi assigned a number to each evolution of the Lancer rally car with four wheel drive and a 4G63T engine (after 2008 the 4B11T), so the EVO VI would actually be the sixth evolution of the Mitsubishi Lancer rally car.

I found this seventh generation Lancer powered by the 1.3 4G13 parked around the corner earlier this summer but never actually placed the pictures here.

However the time is right: as you can see this Lancer isn’t ready yet. It only had some striping, vinyl cut banner and some alloys distinguish it from how it looked when it left the factory.

Last Saturday I thought I spotted an actual EVO but found to be surprised it was the same car! I followed it and managed to take a snapshot of it while taking a roundabout: Continue reading

Attending the Wangan Warriors meeting

I’m going to attend the Wangan Warriors meeting tomorrow in Oosterhout and I’m already excited to see all those cars parked out there.

In case you are interested in coming as well, you can find the location here:

If you want to find me: just look for the all familiar white Carina TA60 (soon to be 4AGE-ed) or a tall guy with long brown hair.

Friday video: junkyard car crashes

Where do stuntmen come from? Well apparently in the Netherlands they first work on a local junkyard for a couple of years!
Krimson37 taped a bunch of the crashes he made in 1992 and I picked out two involving destruction of J-tin.
Small warning in case you understand Dutch: be prepared for some foul language…

First of all a bright yellow Cherry F10 gets vandalized:

Also at 3:25 you can see a crushed first generation Honda Accord while the camera zooms in… When the guy enters the Cherry he is surprised that it even features a rev-counter.

The second video features a first generation Toyota Carina TA14 seeing some Seibu Keisatsu action:

Such a shame…
