Nissan Skyline GC10 van

I love the linework of the Nissan Skyline KPGC10, I also love them on the 4 door Skyline GC10 but what I do like best are the continuing lines in the GC10 van!

As you can see in this video the lines of the coupe and 4 door saloon are sloping further up along the side of the bodywork towards the bottom of the rear lights. Looking at those lines it really looks like some designer put a lot of effort in that line work!

Compare that to several vans and wagons made nowadays, like this 2001 Baleno for instance:
You can still see the sedan in its lines
You can still see the sedan in its lines

As you can see it just looks like a sedan with a big hump on its back! You can still see the original sedan lines and its designers did not even make an attempt to continue its lines properly. Of course in the end it is all a matter of money…

So, to please your eyes again a picture of how it should be done:

Bee*R R324 versus B?RS ER34

We all know the famous Bee*R R324 conversions. Ever since they became available they are flooding the forums! So let’s kick off with a nice example in Finland:

Now, that’s the old style…

Let’s have a look at the the new style B?RS ER34:

I know, I know… Most of you don’t like the B?RS at all! But think about it as what most people thought about JDM car styling 10 years ago… Will this be our future?

Xmas wish list: the “Japanese Historic Car Graffiti” 2010 calendar

When I saw this calendar I immediately thought “Damn, I want one!”.

The front already looks quite promising with the Honda 1300 coupe (and RA300 Formula one racecar in the background)

What about this mouth watering 4 door Nissan Skyline GTR PGC10?

And a first generation Celica GT fastback RA28?

Now, for only $14 that’s a bargain! Now how do I convince my wife that it is actually a bargain. ;)

Japanese rustoseums (part four)

It is time for some more rustoseums! :)

Let’s start with this four door Nissan Skyline sedan:

As you can see it must have had some really big fender extenders which now have been removed. Would that mean the fender extenders were considered more expensive than the Skyline?

What about a nice Toyota Mark II X7 wagon with some plants on it?

Is it actually going to be used as a flowerbed? Or did the owner intend it to grow into a Crown MS120 wagon?

Somehow I always smile when I see these third generation Honda Accords:

The front of the car really resembles the Trueno. Of course the bumper is a bit different, but it is styled closer to a Trueno than the Silvia S12! Sad to see this example without its eyes…

A really (c)rusty Corolla KE30:

And it has got the great looking hubcaps!

Personally I thought this was a first generation Cedric 130, but the poster of the picture says it is actually a Isuzu Bellet sedan:

Bellet sedan? Were those actually made??
