DOTS: Miata hunting (part twentyone)

Normally I only spot a Miata once every two weeks. Sometimes I’m lucky and spot two in the same week. Sometimes I’m even luckier and I spot two on the same day. So how lucky was I this week when I spotted these two Mazda MX5 NAs behind each other at the traffic light?
Spotting two Miatas at the same time
Actually only the top one is a MX5 because the silver NA below the red NA is an imported USDM Miata.

Commercial Time: 1974 Luce AP

In the last month of 1974 Mazda revealed a new revolutionary Luce: the Luce AP! AP stands for Anti Pollution and in 1974 it was really necessary to do something against the bad breath of the rotary engine.

A few months later Mazda revealed the second generation Cosmo with the same acronyms AP. Cleaner cars for the future: that was all that mattered for marketing in the 1970s.

Perhaps another Toyota then? So how about this wagon then?? Continue reading
