Video: The very first Best Motoring Hot Version

Last week I discovered Ka Ko (via Rocketpencil) who posts Best Motoring videos on an almost daily basis! 🙂
One of the gems he posted last week is the very first edition of Best Motoring Hot Version:
Video Best Motoring Hot Version first volume
As you can see there is a thrilling battle in this episode: the infamous Keiichi Tsuchiya battles with an (almost stock) Toyota Corolla Levin AE86 the (back then) brand new Toyota Corolla Levin GT Apex AE101 featuring the new 20 valve Silvertop 4AGE. The battle is very very close even though the AE101 has a lot more power under the bonnet!

What else can you expect from Best Motoring Hot Version Volume 1?
– Toyota Levin GT Apex AE101 vs Toyota Trueno GT-Z AE101 vs Honda Civic EF
– Toyota Levin GT Apex AE101 (superstrut) vs Toyota Levin GT Apex AE101 (non-superstrut)
– Toyota Levin GT Apex AE101 (superstrut) vs Toyota Levin AE86
– RX7 Drift vs Grip
– Group A Nissan Skyline GT-R cup with Keiichi Tsuchiya drifting his Taisan GT-R R32 on a wet Fuji Speedway!

DOTS: 1990 Nissan 200SX drifter

It doesn’t happen very often anymore that I encounter interesting cars down on the streets. Finding a interesting Japanese sportscar like this Nissan 200SX RS13 is quite rare and what is even rarer: it is used as a grassroots drift car!

Judging from the side this car has seen some action already. And what was more surprising: the 200SX passed me a couple of days later and the driver turned out to be a girl.

The rear of the car was empty and a strutbrace was placed between the two rear towers to give the body more stiffness.

Extra gauges are placed in the A pilar:

The body had a matte respray not too long ago and I must admit the matte finish makes this car stand out even more!

Hilarious: Otaku drifting!

I had some good laughs on this Itasha video posted by youtuubeblows! Especially at the part where everybody starts dancing (@3:11) in their cosplay outfits and with the Evangalion itasha-van (or should that be dekoitasha?)! Not only does it show some Itasha to look at but also a serious otaku driftcar:

The Haruhi Racing Silvia S15 is a very beautiful one and apparently, judging by the screams by the Itasha girl, it can go sideways as well as any other drift car!

Now how long would it take before the Itasha catches on like this?
