Yesterday evening was a sad one: I read Alexi's latest post on Nori Yaho and discovered the Haruna tofushop (aka the Fujiwara tofushop in Initial D) has been demolished:

So, Bunta now has enough space to park the Toyota Ipsum (Picnic). :D

When I found the picture of Fuji International Speedway I posted last week I got an Initial D feeling from the whole scene. So I could not resist modifying it with some comic sound effects from Initial D:

No hilarious posting today? Well I already posted something radical earlier this week and this US commercial is somewhat hilarious as well! ;)

I know it sounds a bit weird dissing the AE86, but I had a very good laugh when I watched this US commercial of the new Toyota Corolla GT-S AE86: it is cheesy, it is very US and it even has a (double) Toyota jump in the end!

Okay I admit: they were right about the car: it surely pleased me with its handling, it surely did please my friends with its surprising performance, it surely had a very low price and apart from me it also did please the world by featuring as main car in Initial D! :D

I came accross this image on Mattari's blog and it reminded me of the Toyota Ipsum posting I made a year ago...

Too bad the video has been removed now... In a nutshell: it contained another Fujiwara Tofu replica parked in front of the tofu shop and in the background a Toyota Ipsum (Picnic outside Japan) was parked next to the tofu shop on the same spot the AE86 used to be parked... So apparently Bunta has sold the Ipsum! :D

Anyway, below this picture there was a whole (2chan) thread copied in which a couple of users wrote a funny Initial D spoof! I advice you to go to Mattari's blog and read the whole story (with Google Translate for instance)! ;)

Now this is a real happy meal: this guy eats his Mc Donalds meal while drifting the Ebisu North course! Not only does he eat it on the straights, but he also does it Bunta style and picks up and returns his milkshake into the cupholder! Now that is EPIC!

Now if only he could pick up his order on the drive through this way! :D
