Carina Sightings: Danish Carina tractor

Okay okay… I know… I’m slacking here, but today I’m ill and feel like I really need to go to bed EARLY. Something that did not happen in the past few days. :(

Anyway, here it is: the Danish Carina van tractor

I was probably already beyond saving anyway, but still… I would at least tried to save it! :(

Carina Sightings: 2 Carina AA63s on NCML

I found these two videos on Youtube. In the first two Toyota Carina GT-R AA63 sedans are chasing a Nissan Silvia S15:

While in the second (third of the video set ;) they get chased by a different Nissan Silvia S15 and a Nissan 180sx:

I have no idea what NCML is, but I suspect that NCML is an abbreviation for one of the circuits in Japan and this event was held on 15th of september 2008. Anyone knows what NCML is??

Carina sightings: Carina GT-R AA63 in Peru

Some time ago I already blogged about a Carina GT-R in Peru. I probably now found the sales adverts for it:

http://articulo.mercadolibre.com.pe/MPE-4685639-vendo-toyota-carina-gtr-_JM

This is how the car looked:

Toyota Carina GT-R AA63 for sale in Peru, original rim (Celica Supra rim)

It states that the Carina GT-R was located in Lima and that it only drove 9000 and 10000 kilometers. Looking at the engine, diff, interior and the state of the car I doubt that the last fact could be true. Should rather be 190000 and 200000 kilometers. ;)

As you can see the diff housing is leaking:

And the engine is quite used and dirty:

And the steering wheel looks shabby, so it is quite used

According to the translation of this advertisement it is supposed to be owned by the 80 year old grandpa of the seller. Yeah right… ;)

Anyway, they asked 3999 (I assume Peru Nuevos Soles) for it which is roughly 1000 euros. Not bad! I would have bought it for that price!!

Carina Sightings: Count the carinas at the Japan A60 2008 meeting

This week another short sighting:
Count the toyota carina A60
Can you count all the Carinas in this picture?? ;)

I came to a total of 34 here, but I did not count the ones behind the group of people in the front row…
The extra difficulty is that this picture also contains Celica A60s (Supra MK2 is called Celica XX in Japan) and it is sometimes hard to distinguish a Carina Coupe rear from a Celica Liftback in the second or fourth rows.
