I found this brilliant ashtray on a blog about deep dished rims and I must say that the concept of uniting smokers with the 7M-GTE turbo engine of the Soarer MZ21 is a stoke of genius!

Of course now 25 years later this ashtray has become a blast of the past…

Yesterday I finally finished a tribute video to the Bluebird for Bosozoku Style I had lying around unfinished for over a year. So I thought it would be nice to post up a Family Album Treasure including a Bluebird!

The Bluebird in the picture is a Bluebird 710 1600 SSS and apparently the whole family is very proud of it too! If I were to own a Bluebird SSS model I’d definitely include a picture in my family album! ;)
In case you are curious about the Bluebird video I made, here it is: Continue reading
Even though Japan was already using unleaded fuel in the early 80s Nissan still made a super line-up!

This brochure covers all 1982 models by Nissan, but they pictured the Bluebird SSS 910 (Z18E powerd), March K10 and Liberty Villa (based upon the Pulsar N12) at the cover. Personally I would have left out the Liberty Villa from this line-up and replaced it with something with a little bit more oomph like the Leopard, but I guess the Nissan board of directors thought otherwise. ;)
I’ve featured the Dutch circus duo Bassie en Adriaan a couple of times now, but this new footage is too great not to share!

Apparently Honda managed to get the two together again to perform a new social media campaign to promote the new European Honda Civc while the two of them should, according to the Dutch media, actually have a healthy brotherly war.
Money talks and perhaps their pensions went up in smoke during the credit crunch. Also both of them look a bit aged now: Adriaan (acrobat) can’t hardly hide his belly and wrinkles while Bassie (clown) looks a bit worked out after all that diy.
In the video you can see the duo travelling to the Honda dealer in their 80s red/yellow polkadot Honda Prelude and caravan: Continue reading
Even though it states GT-R on the back of this Nissan Skyline it actually is a lower grade GTS-t HCR32 that was wrecked here.

Judging from the triumphant stance it was not considered a great loss by the bystanders. Personally I would be devastated if such a thing would happen near me involving a R35.

Last week Tulio Inoue contacted me that he found the only Carina in Brazil. Of course I was anxious, opened the link and found this beautiful Carina Van SG:

This Carina only travelled 120000 kilometers so far and is almost like new!
Tulio told me this is most probably the only Carina in Brazil as up till the 90s import cars were forbidden unless you were a diplomat and imported the car yourself. Probably a Japanese diplomat imported this car, perhaps as a vehicle for the embassy?
The interior still looks immaculate after 26 years: Continue reading
