The sound of the 4T-GTE

The AE86 and the FT-86 aren’t the only cars by Toyota that actually had the 86 designation in them: the Toyota 86C was a Group C racer by TOM’s featuring the infamous 4T-GTE engine (also to be found on the TA64 Toyota Celica rally car!).

This one lap of video is driven by Masanori Sekiya on the Fuji International Speedway in 1986:

I love the sound of the big ass turbo and the blow off valve! Amazing!

Hilarious: Tokusatsu gone haywire!

Tokusatsu isn’t especially renowned for their seriousness or real-life approach, but these two videos are way beyond sanity. Actually they are rather insane!

Brad Hogan shared this unreal bukkake Fly Man with me on Facebook:

WTF?!

Talking about WTFs: how about this A WTF Moment in Tokusatsu, Part 29 with a trumpet playing angel dwarf?

Where can I find the mushrooms the director of this tokusatsu has eaten? I want some too! :)

Carina Sightings: Ironmask’s worst enemy

The person who shot the pictures of this Carina AA63 GT-R is actually a Skyline DR30 fan. He went out to take a look at, as he calls it, the Iron Mask’s worst enemy:

Iron Mask enemy: Carina AA63 GT-R

It does make sense in some way… Sure the Carina GT-R does looks (about as) intimidating, was produced in the same era, has roughly the same dimensions but it never came with power output near what the FJ20ET produced (the Carina TA63 GT-TR came nearer).

I must say that the metal surrounding on the headlights look very nice on the Carina!

The Hayashi Streets sure look great on this Carina:

And am I seeing this right? Someone made the R in GT-R red? :D
