Crazy 1JZ modified Carina TA60 in Pakistan – Carina Sightings

I happened to stumble across a TikTok video with a crazy modified Carina TA60, but I couldn’t find out who created it. That’s the issue with TikTok: you don’t really follow people, you just scroll random stuff that interests you. Today I finally found two videos of this crazy build on Youtube!

Crazy 1JZ powered Carina

The company in question is Sbc Modifier in Pakistan. They do crazy builds like crafting a Rolls Royce bodywork on top of a Toyota Corona, a Mustang with scissor doors on top of a Kia Spectre and a Dodge Challenger on top of a Datsun Sunny B210.

Picture of the Week: Toyota 4AGZE engine cutaway drawing

This cutaway drawing is a tad different than before as it is all about an engine instead of a car. It is a delight to see the Toyota 4AGZE engine in such fine details:
Picture of the Week: Toyota 4A-GZE engine cutaway drawing
I don’t know where this Toyota 4AGZE cutaway drawing originates from, but I would expect it to be taken from a brochure of either the supercharged Toyota MR2 AW11 or the supercharged Toyota Corolla Levin/Sprinter Trueno AE92. I would say the AW11 as the intercooler is mounted next to the engine.

Irian Jaya: Corolla Levin AE92 racer

On our way to the magnificent view over Jayapura on the highest mountain in the neighborhood I spotted this Corolla Levin AE92:

Not the supercharged GT-Z model, but at least it has a 4AGE heart beating under that bonnet.
The huge 16 inch wheels with a thin tirewall look a bit out of place here: the road conditions around Jayapura are quite bad so I reckon they won’t survive long…

Carina Sightings: Perfecty white Carina AA63 sedan

Last week I found this perfect Carina sedan (presumably an AA63) on deep dish Work Equip rims in
But then a bit more shabby and used. Well, what would you expect from a 26 year old Celica. ;)
The Celica did feature normal rims, so no Celica Supra or Pizza Cutter rims. It also featured the first generation popup-lamps so I suspect it was a TA60 Celica ST.

This is what the AE92 Corolla GT-S looked like:

But then in Silver of course…

I did spot some other special rwd cars, like a Nissan S14, Lada rallycar and a Datsun 1800. Maybe I’ll spot a Carina A60 next year? Who knows…
