DOTS: Subaru Impreza WRX dumpster

I can imagine a Subaru Impreza WRX GD wagon makes a perfect family car for the wannabe street racer, but utilizing it as a dumpster??

Well dumpster may be a bit exaggerated, but it was used yesterday to haul stuff in a trailer to the local dump. And even worse: it is owned by a posh looking bloke.
Then again: I used my almost-classic-Carina in a similar fashion. ;)

Friday video: enjoy a ride in this Mazda Cosmo HB

Compared to yesterdays RX7 this bone stock Cosmo may look a bit dull. Outside Japan it was sold as the Mazda 929 with a 2 liter piston engine and the 929s from Germany and Switzerland are currently flooding the Netherlands, and this Cosmo HB does feature the Rotary Turbo!

You can also enjoy a Japanese cover of France Gall’s Poupee de cire, Poupee de son (actually Serge Gainsbourg wrote that for her) and imagine you are driving through the Japanese landscape yourself. A added benefit is that the whining rotary actually makes the song even more enjoyable! ;)

Ebay treasures: yellow RexSeven

I can imagine people thinking the first generation RX7 (SA22 and FB) looks outdated. So obviously you want to update the looks of it and just model it after some newer model… Well, this little SA22 (for sale on Marktplaats) does have some updated looks!

First of all: the tail lights are clearly influenced by the Ferrari 575. But if you look closer to the design you can spot they are actually Opel GT tail lights.

Commercial time: jumping Skyline Japan

I think I’ve posted up this fifth generation Skyline commercial before, but I’m not sure about it… What I’m positive about is that I never posted up the small Nissan Langley commercial after it!

This first generation Langley looks awfully similar to its bigger Skyline Japan brother!
