Carina Sightings: Gymkhana Carina TA63

I’ve seen a lot of (ab)uses for the Carina so far, but I’ve never saw one attending in a real Gymkhana before. That was till I spotted this Gymkhana Carina TA63 on Minkara:

As you can see: the owner has humor. :D

You can see some more action in one of his videos:

He’s quite good at it! And the video even featured a few “bloopers” in the end! :)

Also a notable thing are his smoked tail lights (zenki). Really suits the car and maybe I’ll try to create my own when I can get my hands on a second set…

DOTS: Rustfree Simca Mille

After posting the Reverse Fetish Simca Rallye 3 earlier this week I remembered taking this picture of a Simca Mille during summer:
Down on the Street: Simca Mille (1000)
Down on the Street: Simca Mille (1000)

As you can see it differs a lot with the Rallye 3, but that is quite natural for a car that had a production run of 17 years! This model is, obviously, an early model and is featuring the 944 cc (33hp) variant of the Type 315 engine that also made its way into the Rallye 3. It has only one third of the output made by the engine in the Rallye 3!

The license plate reveals nothing except that the car was officially imported to the Netherlands in 2010.
