Video: the KE70 and AE86 mosquito squad

Both jrotaro and ae86lan posted videos of their drift runs on the Ebisu drift festival. This one is onboard a KE70 (obviously with no K engine under the hood anymore) showing the mad angles of this 4A-GE mosquito squad:

The last runs the KE70 acts as a referee car when the red Levin and blue Trueno go head to head against each other. The Trueno may look a bit boro, but leaving the third door in the pit is quite common nowadays. ;)

This video by ae86lan shows his drift skills in the KE70:

Clearly he needs to clean his windshield before recording a video. :P

And a last video with more mosquito action from jrotaro onboard a white Trueno:

video: Soarer MZ11 versus Soarer MZ21

After Thursdays overkill in Soarers I started searching on some videos. I found this short 1987 comparison video of the old (1986) and new (1987) Soarer:

As you can see: the new MZ21 Soarer with Air Suspension did improve a lot over the older (yet already amazing) Soarer with TEMS. The Air Suspension clearly compensates breaking out the new Soarer and keeps it in a straight line… Also the 0.2 liter increased 5M to 7M really makes a difference: about two seconds on the 0-400m run. But that is rather normal for a 70hp increase. Still I personally prefer the MZ11 styling above the MZ21…

Video: CRX 4×4 somewhere in Holland

Now this is the weirdest 4×4 I’ve seen for a while: a Honda CRX 4×4!

I found a video on a (Honda related) Minkara and when looking at some other videos posted by its uploader it revealed the 4×4 CRX was actually from the Netherlands! Now that’s social media: finding stuff on the other side of the planet that actually happens around the corner! :D

I found it is actually for sale as well:
CRX 4×4 for sale

According to the information I found in the ad (and another one) the CRX shell is placed on top of a Nissan Patrol with a 3.3 liter turbo diesel engine. Now that’s a fun machine! :)
