Merry Christmas with AI-generated AE86es

Tonight is Christmas Eve and that means spending time with family, eating dinner, opening gifts under the Christmas tree and family and I’m really looking forward to that! I’ll be offline for a few days and I wish you a Merry Christmas! But I didn’t want to leave you empty-handed and present you with a gift as well!

I thought the best way to express that was by looking at the current state of AI and generating some Christmassy pictures with an AE86. For all four images, I used the following term: “White Toyota Trueno AE86 with popup headlights, Christmas trees and snowy landscape”. I did two in comic/cartoon style and two in photo-realistic style.

DIY JDM Christmas tree with Hot Wheels ornaments

As this year is nearing it’s end, I thought I should do something special this year. The Christmas holidays are coming up soon, and in all it’s joy and glory fits a Christmas tree. I got one at home, but I didn’t have one in my office. And since my office is partially a JDM shrine, the tree should be one as well. A JDM Christmas tree to be more exact!

JDM Christmas tree

The idea for this came when I received a red Hotwheels AE86 as a present for Sinterklaas. Sinterklaas is the Dutch Santa Clause and therefore I thought I should do something with it. So I wondered how much work it would be to convert a Hotwheels car into a Christmas tree ornament. It couldn’t be that long?
