Like you probably know or already read/heard it is today hachi roku day!
What is hachi roku day then? From Japanese hachi translates into 8, roku into 6 so in other words: 86. Today it is August sixth. Get it? If you are from Europe probably not, but in Japan and the US this date reads 8-6, hence it is hachi roku day today! ;)
To celebrate hachi roku day I have some funny AE86 videos for you today! Let's kick off with the AE86 dry run:
I just uploaded all worthy pictures I took at Japan Classic Sunday 2010. I haven't commented them yet but I surely will do that in the upcoming week. I'll also start posting pictures from the meet now and then. Let's kick off with some highlights!
Trip to the JCS 2010
The trip to JCS was already a highlight! Five old/youngtimers cruising on the highway and of course we could all keep up with modern traffic. Only the TE71 (currently an AE71 with 20v blacktop) had some difficulties now and then: who says a blown headgasket can keep you from going to a meeting? So he just filled up that radiator with some water now and then... ;)
What's more 90s than visiting the Fuji International Speedway circuit with your friends? Especially if most of them own a sportscar?
Fuji Speedway International visit
Yes, that's a whole bunch of AE86s, a Celica XX, a 280ZX and...and... a Sprinter AE82? And is that a female driver next to the panda white Levin AE86?
Definitely a picture worth keeping in your family album! :)
Found some drifting footage of a preliminary for the middle cup in Sekiasakitto.I have no idea who this guy is, but his lines in the Trueno are really aggressive!
I love the sound of that 20v revving through the corners!
Now if only I could find more of this guy! ;)
