Carina Sightings: Revolver Drift’s AA63 Carina Coupe

About two months ago Revolver Drift posted some really nice pictures of his AA63 Carina Coupe near Bukit Tinggi. I asked his permission to post them on my blog as well but didn’t have the time to post it here: there was always another Carina Sighting and I kept moving it forward. So, finally the pictures are here:

Revolver Drift is from Malaysia and his AA63 Carina Coupe features a 4AGE 20v blacktop. The deep dish rims on his coupe fit very nice to the coupe body type. I don’t think it would look that well on a sedan. Also the mesh grille looks quite aggressive with the big headlights. If I only could get a mesh grille for mine…

Thanks to Revolver Drift for allowing me to post his pictures here! If you want to read more, his blog is located here:

Carina Sightings: Carina GT-R AA63 on Speedhunters

Some of you may already have read it, but Mike Garrett wrote about the HPI Tsukuba meeting on Speedhunters and wrote about a black Carina GT-R

As you can see the Carina is pretty bashed up and misses its front airdam, grille, side indicator lights, and a foglight and one normal light on the left side. The driver must really use the car extensively. :)

It is also very nice to see something different than the mainstream white color.

And what I like most about the report is the following comment by Mike Garrett:
This AA63 Toyota Carina was part of the drifting group. These cars are fairly unknown as far vintage rear-drive Japanese cars go. I’d love to own one someday.
I hope that as well! :)

Carina Sightings: Carina Coupe on Mooneyes Mania Cruise

I came across this nice Carina Coupe last week on Japanese Nostalgic Car blog:

No idea what the specs of the car are, but what I deduct from the looks of the car it probably is an AA63 4AGE powered coupe. I don’t think you’d need a revmeter for tuning the 3T-TGE unless you want to look interesting. ;)

I’m not too sure about the rims: they look like Konig Rewinds however those wheels are just as rare in Japan as the Wantanabes are here in Europe. Maybe someone after an Irish-twincam-look?

Carina Sightings: Danish Carina tractor

Okay okay… I know… I’m slacking here, but today I’m ill and feel like I really need to go to bed EARLY. Something that did not happen in the past few days. :(

Anyway, here it is: the Danish Carina van tractor

I was probably already beyond saving anyway, but still… I would at least tried to save it! :(
