Remembering Japanese cars from the past

DOTS: Toyota Supra MA71

A week ago Laurens Hoogeveen contacted me if I were interested in pictures of an old Supra spotted on the Dutch highways. Of course I am interested in pictures of (older) J-tin! 🙂

If you are a bit familiar with the Dutch highways you will recognize the spot he took these pictures: A4 from Schiphol (Dutch national airport) to Amsterdam (south) around the A9 junction.

On this image you can also see the owner’s name of the Supra:

Alexander Strik is a known Supra owner and a regular on the tracks. So presumably the returned from a trackday on Zandvoort (famous Dutch racetrack).

I love the big wing on this Supra! It reminds me a bit of the old bosozoku wings from the late 80s and early 90s! 😉

And how do I know the Supra is a MA71? Well, the Supra is a 3 litre turbo (MA71), so according to the Toyota designation it should be a MA71.

Big thanks to Laurens for the pictures! 🙂
