People had to pick me up from the floor when I saw this bunch of Itasha Otaku going wild in a parody of the K-ON! intro:
OMFGWTF?! (?????)

Even though every second of this commercial screams early 80s forward thinking it still didn’t convince enough people that the rotary engine would be the solution to every problem. The new Luce was a big luxurious Japanese battleship and weighted 1450 kilograms. Not exactly movable by its 1.3 liter 13B rotary engine.
On the other hand it hits the bullseye: luxurious sedans need a silent less vibrating engine like the 13B. Unfortunately the rotary engine lacks the torque. Nevertheless I would still like to own such a thing any day!
I love the lotaly turbo chime at the end.
This Carina Sighting is actually half a family album treasure: it is exactly how Bunta Fujiwara (or Shuichi Shigeno) would have made the Fujirara Tofu special if it were a four door car!
Carina AA63 Fujiwara Tofu special
It is all there: the Ciebie yellow foglights, gunmetal grey RS Watanabe rims and a panda paintscheme! (was standard on the zenki AA63)

The ask sign in this picture caught my eye and made me wonder what the price of this marvelous original zenki Nissan Skyline GT-R PGC10 would be…
Just ask the price of this PGC10…
But I think I would not dare to ask: it would probably be way beyond my budget. Then again: if you don’t ask you will never know. ;)

I thought this video was pretty funny: someone swapped a GX71 digital cluster into a Cresta GX61.
Looking at the way he plays pong with the revmeter the 1G-GTE engine was also swapped. ;)
Last week I spent a couple of days in Berlin. Of course I hoped to spot some nice JDM tin but the most interesting Japanese car I found was a rusty Corolla Liftback AE90. Either the Germans love their own cars so much that they don’t buy anything but Porsche, Mercedes or BMW, or it could have been that the center of Berlin (Charlottenburg and Mitte) are only occupied by the rich and famous.
Personally, given this example found in the street of my hotel, I think it was the latter:
Sheepish 911 (997 model)
Apparently owning a Porsche 911 (996997 model) is not enough anymore, but also a vanity plate with 911 in it is needed! The plate bleats 911 all over it. Would that have been on purpose? This 996997 isn’t particular a wolf in sheep’s clothing. ;)
