I came across this GT-R faced Suzuki Mighty Boy during one of my image googling sessions...

WTF: Suzuki Mighty Boy GT-R

The Suzuki Mighty Boy SS40T is a UTE version of the Suzuki Cervo SS40 (a Coupe version of the Fronte) and apparently this GT-R conversion was done with some fake parts... Identity crisis anyone?

Half a year ago I posted a black 1981 Suzuki Cervo SC100 and thought it was a one time only... Well last Sunday I spotted another Cervo:

This brown GX model was parked in the back of a parking lot in front of a party-centre. You can see the sign saying "Parkeren achterzijde" which roughly translates into "rear parking". Glad they didn't park it there, otherwise I wouldn't have spotted the Cervo!

Seen from the front it looks immaculate:

When I 16 years old and still in high school there was this guy in my class who became 18 years old and was allowed to drive a car to school (in the Netherlands the age getting your license is 18). The car he drove was a tiny black Suzuki Cervo SC100 with some wicked rims under it. It looked a bit like the SC100 I found a few days ago:

Maybe it is even the same car and still owned by that same guy! ;)

Back then I thought it was one of the best cars you could possibly own: a small (economical) car with enough power to make it a bit sporty due to its size... Of course I wanted such a car as well. Back then I never concluded that my size (6 foot 5) would be a problem... I fitted on the passenger seat and my hair was scraping against the headlining, what's wrong with that?? ;)

When I finally wanted to buy my first car I was looking for such small cars. I did drive the Suzuki Alto CA71 owned by my brother and found out that it was already hard to drive a car longer than 30 minutes when you are cramped between the seat, the headlining and the steering wheel... So in the end I started looking for a B class car instead.

To give you an impression on how small these Cervo SC100s are:

Yes that's right: it is parked between a Toyota Starlet and a Peugeot 206 and it is about three quarters of the size of that Starlet! :D

Kei-car fun!

I found this video about a historical kei-car race some time ago on youtube. The drivers are having a lot of fun with their kei-cars in the rain and it does have a lot of action in it!

The race is viewed from a Suzuki Fronte Coupe (better known as the Cervo outside Japan) and since this car is a RR setup the driver really has problems finding enough grip in this race. He isn't the only one: another car has crashed into the wall at 0:52. And at 2:30 he almost knocks off his rear view mirror while recovering from going sideways and at 2:49 when he barely avoids collision with a Subaru R-2 spinning around!

Who said old kei-cars are no fun at all? ;)
