Video: illegal street racing in the 90s

I found this video of illegal street drag races in Japan during the early 90s. What strikes me most is the enormous number of Fairlady Zs and Skyline GT-R used for this purpose.

The most amazing modification is done to a Z31 around 2:33!

Just had a big WTF?! when I found this Scuderia Nissan ad from 1971 on some historical Skyline GT-R KPGC10 related site:

Scuderia Nissan ad from 1971

Basically it offers to transform your road legal Skyline GT-R to a racing spec car.

I did post about a Gloria Y30 and Newman Skyline cassettes before, but non of these were exciting as this Exciting Explosion cassette tape by Calsonic:
Calsonic GT-R JTC Cassette

I wonder what the Exciting Explosion on that tape actually is... :D

Video: 1971 Japanese Grand Prix Fuji International Speeday

Rocketpencil uploaded another astonishing video: the 1971 Japanese Grand Prix held at Fuji International Speedway!

It consists out of three races: the Touring A (1600cc) class, Touring B (2000cc) class and the Grand Touring class, translating into Bluebird, Skyline and Fairlady Z.

All non-Nissanians will complain I over simplified it a bit. Yes there are indeed other cars (like the Mazda RX-2) but that's what the main field and winners looked like... Only later that year the Mazda RX-3s broke the winning victory streak of those menacing Skylines...

Hilarious: Limo drifting (Initial D parody)

I had a good laugh when I watched this short video of kimiga aruzide shitsuziga orede where a Lincoln Town Car limo goes downhill sideways head to head with a BNR32 GTR!

Obviously the Town Car wins! :D :D
(or should it be called Lincoln Touge Car then?)
