Remembering Japanese cars from the past

WW Kick-off 2013: the arrival!

Enroute to the Wangan Warriors 2013 season kick-off I already encountered a group of sports cars (Skyline R32, Silvia S12 and a Subaru WRX) but when I came near to the meeting grounds the sports and performance cars were literally swarming from all directions!
Wangan Warriors: Arrival

This Nissan 200SX S13 was parked next to the entrance was remained glued to my retina for the remainder of the meeting:

So if this is his mum’s car…his car should be even messier? 😛

The interior looks serious though…

And just look at those extended blistered fenders and deep dished wheels!

Another highlight was this MR2:

Once owned by 7Tune’s Allard van Grafhorst. When I finally met Allard on the meetup he told us that he spoke to the current owner and started waving with some plastified card. Apparently the current owner cleaned out the MR2 really well and found Allard’s old moped driving license!

Parked next to my Carina was this patina white Starlet KP60:

It was no coincidence that it was parked next to mine as I actually parked the Carina next to it. I felt it was the right thing to do. 😉

Another oldie was this Mazda 626 (Capella) CB:

It appeared to be in stunning condition and bone stock. I could be wrong but it does look like it has been lowered a bit…

That’s it for my arrival at the meetup. I shot many many other photos after this and I’ll share the best later on!

Cool to see my own car over here lol. Havent visited your blog for a while, but the 626 is mine, and she’s completely stock.

      I didn’t know you had a 626 though…
