Remembering Japanese cars from the past

Japanese rustoseums (part twenty)

The first thing I thought when I saw this pigsbutt (butaketsu) Laurel SGX was that it had developed a rusty (coin) slot:
Rusty pigsbutt Nissan Laurel C130
Rusty pigsbutt Nissan Laurel C130

Its rear end is completely rusted through and, apart from the interior, the rest of the car doesn’t look much better either…
Still it is not way beyond repair: its new owner is going to restore it in full glory! 🙂
(BTW: it is not advisable to lookup “rusty slot”! 😛 )

Poor Laurel. It really like these cars. They look so good low and on a nice pair of classic Japanese wheels (Equip 01’s or something along that line)

    I totally agree.
Imagine: these great cars once were sold in the Netherlands as well. Picture yourself driving such a car, lowered with some rare JDM wheels. And then realize all these Laurels rusted away in the same way as this sorry example.
There is no love in this world… 🙁
