I already posted about the Corona/Carina/Carina trio competing in the MSC tandem drift almost a year ago. A few weeks back Killian O’Brien posted this promo video of the 2007 MSC DVD on the Banpei.net page featuring them as well:
If you watch closely you can see them drift by a couple of times! :)
Month: December 2010 (Page 2 of 5)
I’ll try to post as much Carina related stuff this week as possible, so be prepared for some overload of Carina goodness! Let’s kick off with some Carina rustoseums!
For starters I found this little 3A powered SG coupe rusting away on someones blog:
Carina SG AA60 coupe rustoseum
A small detail: the Carina sits on a set of Celica A40 rims.
This Carina TA67 wagon looks like an old delivery van. With the writing on its side it looks like what the Fujiwara Tofu Carina TA67 must have looked like:

Of course the 2T engine did not have enough power by itself, so naturally he would have swapped it for a 2T-G or 3T-GT. :D
Speaking about rusty vans. how about another TA67?

It was found near Rausu. This one really looks bad and way beyond repair.
Would part thirteen bring bad luck? Let’s hope not!
This time I have this beautiful (imported) dark blue 2000 Mazda MX5 NB for you:
Blue 2000 Mazda MX5 NB
Not only was it lowered nicely, it also had a nice lip and some dished rims. Now that’s a Miata I’d like to drive! ;)
A few weeks later I photographed her sister, a green 2005 Mazda MX5 NB that was imported three days earlier (in January 2010) than the blue NB above.

I presume it was the same company, otherwise it was one hell of a coincidence.
And last but not least, this nice red 1990 Mazda MX5 NA:

It is owned by an employee in the building I work in. It could very well be the same owner as the one that left an note under the windshield of my AE86 four years ago. But I’ll probably never know…
Additional note: I got a new phone, so I had to clean out the SD card in it. I discovered I totally forgot about all the pictures I shot with that phone, so it turned out to be some sort of hidden treasure. Prepare for some more bad quality phone-cam pictures in the upcoming weeks! ;)
Yesterday I already posted a wacky Japanese commercial of some soy candybar, today another one from the 80s for the Subaru NaNaRex:
And another one with a Subaru Sambar/Domingo bonus to keep up the 80s spirit:
Now I really want to buy the NaNaRex!
I just loooooove wacky Japanese commercials:
SoyJoy is some sort of soy (candy?) bar and Saku Saku is a very well known children’s program on the Japanese TV. Apparently stuffed animals can’t sing. :D
I posted about this Fairlady 280ZX before in the Family Album Treasures, but this time I found a picture of him and his Carina GT-R buddy sitting on the bonnets of their cars:
Carina and 280ZX
Buddy pictures always should end up in the family albums. ;)
