Spotted this one on Jalopnik yesterday: Mazdaspeed’s new RX8 racer shown on the LA Auto Show is missing something! I wonder what’s under that bonnet…

The black Carina van is still being updated regularly. The owner just put it in winter mode (and to pass MOT), so how about a nice comparison between summer and winter styles?

Even though I think the steelies would complement the rat look I personally perfer the vintage wheels.
So which one do you prefer?
I always liked the looks of the seventh generation Lancer, especially when it became available in that awesome EVO package. I really have fond memories of seeing a EVO V up close during a smoke break in 2001 when one of the (shady) business partners of one of my former employers parked it right next to me. I can still remember that awesome sound, those awesome looks and that awesome smell of burnt oil! :)
Anyways, I’m drifting off a bit too much… The Chinese car manufacturer Soueast is building the seventh generation of the Lancer in license. In other words, you can still buy them!
There is also a sports edition with a restyled nose. Let’s hope the Chinese are sane enough to offer the EVO versions as well! :)
If you thought family album treasures were a typical thing from the 60s/70s/80s you are wrong: it is quite common for proud owners and/or family members to pose in front of their cars. Just like this daughter does for his proud daddy:
Take off with your daughter in the Soarer
That’s something I hope my son would be proud of if I owned a first generation Soarer with rollcage, bucket seats and deep dish wheels!

Or even pose and show the victory sign sitting shotgun! Definitely something to keep in the family album!

Notice 2021: This Datsun 240K GT advertisement was over 10 years ago! It’s no use leaving a comment or emailing me if it’s still for sale!
The Doctor sent me about a week ago a link to a Belgian auction site. When I clicked on it my heart skipped a beat: there was a genuine Belgian Datsun 240K for sale! As some of you might know: the Datsun 240K GT is basically a Nissan Skyline C110 with a L24 engine!

When I looked at the biddings I immediately saw it was far beyond reach for me: the highest bid was already at 12000 euros (16500 US dollars).
Apart from the 280ZX rims it appears to be completely original:

I must add that the original wheels are not that beautiful, but if these 280ZX rims are fitted the Skyline C110 should be lowered a few inches as well. ;)
Judging from the thick layer of durst the 240K must have been a barn-find and most importantly the interior appears to have survived the time machine!

The seller states that it could easily be transformed into a GT-R, probably to boost the sales price. That last part was apparently very successful.

I saw this video on Stanley Carter’s blog yesterday: the answer from Team Orange driver Tanaka to Ken Blocks Gymkhana 3.0:
At first Tanaka repeats Ken’s Segway trick, but this time with a guy cycling on a tricycle blindfolded. And if that wasn’t enough: he shows how to light a cigarette with a drift car.
Check!
Your move Ken! ;)
