Video: N2 AE86s competing in Gymkhana Class C2
October 12, 2010 in video
I have to give credits to Ivan141 for finding this gem on Youtube: a Toyota Corolla Levin AE86 with N2 flares competeing in a Gymkhana Class C2 in 1989:
The fun may seem to be over after a minute, but just continue to watch:you can enjoy seeing a Corolla FX AE82, a third generation Civic, an even more agressive Sprinter Trueno AE86 N2 on SSR Longchamps, a Mitsubishi Cyborg Mirage (Colt) and finishing off with another Corolla Levin AE86 N2 on SSR Mk IIIs.
Can you imagine such a lineup doing stuff like that nowadays? Nah, don’t think so…

Nice!
Even though all those cars were fitted with ITBs (I suppose), the 4A-GE is the engine that has the best intake sound… and, why not the exhaust sound as well?
Man, new cars lack souls… I’d be willing to have an old car that needs work to be done instead of a chunky econobox that is too boring to drive.
Good eye spotting those mkiii’s. i would not have been able to tell.
True what Killua said. A lot of cars these days lack soul.
During the handbraketurns the wheels stops for a split second. Had to rewatch those parts a few times though.
The first Levin has TRD Tosco rims. Love the look of N2 with 13″ wheels!
